Strong Schools. With nine school districts of varying size--three of which are top-ranked in Texas--Parker County attracts families seeking a higher quality of life and education opportunities for their children. 

Training Assets. All school districts in Parker County offer CTE courses to fast-track students into in-demand industries, including welding, aviation, architectural design, engineering, and programming.

Our local community college, Weatherford College, offers 50+ associate degrees and certificates, plus four bachelor's degrees--with a 5th in the works.

 

Weatherford College partners with several local school districts to offer dual-credit programs to expedite graduation and allow many high school students to graduate with an associate's degree.

 

In addition, the college partners with Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas to cover the cost of creating industry-specific courses for local businesses to support their workforce pipeline.  

Due to our county’s rapid growth, the University of Texas at Arlington has staked their claim in Parker County, purchasing 51 acres in Walsh Ranch for their new UTA West campus—opening Fall 2028.

Residential Growth. From 2019 to 2023, Parker County added ​8,702 single-family homes and 63 multi-family units--and we're nowhere near done.

To accommodate our rapid growth, there are five master-planned communities underway in 2024:

  • Walsh Ranch: 1,035 homes added so far. At full build-out: added population of 50,000 and 4,000 homes at $400,000+ price range.

  • Veale Ranch: 1,200 homes added so far. At full build-out: added population of 30,000 and 6,500 homes at $300,000+ price range.

  • Beall / Dean: The City of Willow Park has annexed 317 acres for a master development with 91 acres dedicated to multi-family, 35 acres dedicated to single family, 135 acres for commercial, and 55 acres of light industrial.

  • Bluejack Ranch & Tiger Wood Golf Course: A 914-acre master planned development to add 600 homes from $700,000 to $10,000,000.
